OUR STORY

NipLip started with a simple observation. Lanolin has been used for generations by breastfeeding mothers — soothing enough for a nursing woman, gentle enough to be near an infant’s mouth. We figured if it met that standard, it was the right place to start a lip balm.

Years later, we’re still built around that idea. We’ve refined the formula, sourced better ingredients, and learned a great deal. What hasn’t changed is the belief that a product you put on your lips every day — and inevitably swallow a little of — should have a short ingredient list you can actually read.

WHAT’S IN IT

We use five ingredients. That’s not a marketing constraint, it’s the whole product.

Lanolin. Certified organic jojoba oil. Aloe vera. Vitamin E. Natural spearmint flavor.

We source the highest quality version of each one we can find, and we tell you exactly what they are.

WHY GLASS

Every NipLip comes in a glass jar. Glass doesn’t leach, doesn’t degrade, and doesn’t shed microplastics into a product that spends its life against your lips. It costs more and weighs more than plastic. We think it’s worth it.

MADE HERE

NipLip is a family-owned business. Every batch is mixed and hand-poured in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — small runs, by us, by hand.

THE MRS. CLAUS CLUB

For several years now, NipLip has been part of the gift baskets the Mrs. Claus Club sends to people going through cancer treatment. It’s the work we’re proudest of. Chapped, cracked lips are one of the small daily miseries of treatment that nobody warns you about, and being a small comfort in a hard season is more than we ever expected this to be.
